Kabarak University is celebrating a major national milestone after emerging as the Winner in the Leadership & Governance Category and the Overall 2nd Runners Up Employer in Kenya at the 2025 Employer of the Year Awards (EYA).  These awards, presented by the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE), highlight organisations that demonstrate exemplary leadership, strong people management practices, and a healthy, empowering workplace culture.

Kabarak University welcomed a team of assessors from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), led by Dr. Mary Wandia, for a two-day physical assessment on Monday, 28th and Tuesday, 29th October 2025. This visit was part of the preparations for the upcoming 2025 Company of the Year Awards (COYA), scheduled for next month. The team was received by Prof. Ronald Chepkilot, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration & Finance), on behalf of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Kiplangat, who is currently representing Kabarak University at the 2025 Jiangsu International Exchange Week in China.

In a spectacular display of institutional excellence, Kabarak University swept the top accolades at the prestigious Kenya Quality Awards (KQA) 2025 Gala Dinner, held on October 24, 2025, at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi. This historic night affirmed the University’s status as a national pacesetter, securing two of the most sought-after honours against a field of Kenya's leading organizations.

Kabarak University has been ranked the top private university in Kenya and the 5th best overall in the 2026 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. This recognition places Kabarak among an elite group of only 11 Kenyan universities that made it to this year’s global list, a strong reflection of our consistent pursuit of academic excellence, impactful research, and global relevance.

Kabarak University continues to shine as a beacon of innovation and excellence, as evidenced by a special visit from the Huduma Centre Kapenguria in West Pokot County. A delegation of six members from the government service centre visited Kabarak University's School of Business and Economics to appreciate and recognize the exemplary work of one of its students, Emmanuel Rotich, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Information Technology at the School of Business and Economics.

Kabarak University, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry K Kiplangat, has taken a significant step in empowering its students by providing them with valuable opportunities to connect with policymakers and industry leaders. This proactive approach ensures that students receive real-world exposure and gain insights into various industries. Students from Kabarak University City campus had the privilege of meeting Nelly Cheboi, the founder of TechLit Africa and the winner of the 2022 CNN Hero Award. This encounter proved to be an inspiring and transformative experience for the students, further highlighting the university's commitment to their holistic development.
