Kabarak University’s School of Science, Engineering, and Technology hosted a public lecture led by a visiting delegation from Shanghai University, China. Held at the University Auditorium, the session focused on advancements in electric power systems and renewable energy technologies. Classes were suspended to allow full participation by students and faculty members, reflecting the significance of the engagement.
In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry K. Kiplangat, emphasized the importance of global partnerships in advancing academic and technological development. He reiterated Kabarak University’s vision to be at the forefront of innovation, stating, “Kabarak University is committed to securing a space on the global stage through strategic collaborations that foster growth in science, engineering, and technology.” The delegation’s presentations provided valuable insights into current energy challenges and opportunities for academic exchange.
The event, coordinated by Prof. Peter G. Rugiri, Dean of the School, was part of a broader collaboration agenda that includes joint research, dual-degree programs, and faculty exchange.
