Kabarak University Shines Bright, Blazing a Trail in Sports as VC Receives Trophy Haul – Cementing Legacy as a Powerhouse of Athletic Excellence

Today, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat, proudly received a collection of prestigious awards, embodying Kabarak’s pledge to fuel athletic dreams with grit, resources, and a relentless pursuit of greatness. With every game played, every race swum, and every match won, Kabarak athletes have once again showcased their skill, determination, and resilience, solidifying the university’s reputation as a beacon of athletic excellence.

The rugby team delivered a stellar performance in the finals, charging through the competition to secure a well-earned victory. Their relentless pursuit of excellence—fueled by strategic play and unwavering teamwork—propelled them to triumph over formidable opponents, proving that Kabarak remains a force to be reckoned with on the rugby field.

In badminton, the women’s team displayed remarkable agility and precision, securing third place out of 12 competing universities. Their dedication shone through in every swift rally and calculated shot, earning them a well-deserved podium finish.

Kabarak’s karate athletes also made their mark. Mapenzi Safari struck gold in Kumite, showcasing her strength and skill. In Kata, Peter Collins, Lawrence Kenga, and Patrick Kamuri each claimed bronze medals, while George Kaimati added another bronze in Kumite. These victories underscore Kabarak’s dominance in individual combat sports.

The swimming team surged onto the international stage, with several athletes qualifying for the Commonwealth Games through the Kenya Life-Saving Federation. Lettin Kipchirchir, Tunje Friday, Philip Ndege, Lenny Wambua, and Esther Aluma swam their way to glory, proving Kabarak’s excellence knows no bounds.
