The University Grants and Resource Mobilisation Office has over the years, achieved the following: Established an internal research fund that is competitively awarded to at least five members of the university every year. As a result, the number of research outputs has exponentially increased over the last couple of years

The second edition of the Annual Research Conference on Media and Communication themed “Media and Communication in a Post Covid World: Problems, Opportunities, and Perspectives”, brought together media stakeholders from the Media Council of Kenya (MCK), Kenya Film Commission, Public Relation Society of Kenya (PRSK), students and staff from Kabarak University.

A team of researchers and innovation experts from the Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA) paid a two-day visit to Kabarak University to profile the level innovations at the University. Geared towards creating an environment that supports development of entrepreneurial savvy scholars, the survey was premised on ten fundamental variables.

Kabarak University is today hosting the Kippra Mentorship Programme for Universities workshop. The workshop, a two-day event, seeks to mentor University students and teaching staff for effective participation in public policy formulation, research, policy analysis, and debate.

On 3rd March 2022, Kabarak University Public Policy and Analysis Club under the Research and Innovation center joined representatives from the National Museum of Kenya, Wildlife Club, Kenya and other representatives to mark International world wildlife day.

The Kabarak University Enactus team has made it to the finals of the Enactus Kenya BIC Education Challenge 2022.

Kabarak University participated the in IREN Technologies and Innovation Platform 2021 held on 13th March 2021 at the Shianda demonstration field in Kakamega County.

Kabarak University through School of Pharmacy conducted an Outreach activity on 8th to 10th September, 2021.

The Outreach and linkages section of the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Outreach in partnership with Safaricom PLC carried out an Outreach activity on 29th October 2021 .The team visited three schools (St. Mary primary school, Kampi ya Moto primary and Kampi ya Moto secondary in Rongai sub county)

Kabarak University through the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Outreach organized and invited Dandelion Africa to conduct a 2 day sensitization and testing on HIV and Cervical Cancer to students and staff of Kabarak University on 23rd and 24th June 2021.
