Kabarak University, in collaboration with the University of Nairobi and the University of California, San Francisco,, celebrated a significant milestone on August 30, 2024, with the graduation of young women who completed the ENabling Girls in AI and Growing Expertise (ENGAGE) in Data Science Program. The ceremony, held in a hybrid format combining online and physical elements, marked a major achievement for both the graduates and the program, which aims to empower girls in the rapidly expanding field of data science.

During the handover and dedication ceremony of Nakuru City's only FIBA-standard basketball court at Kabarak University City Campus, Vice Chancellor Prof. Henry Kiplangat emphasized the university's commitment to nurturing talent and equipping students with 21st-century skills. The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) is the governing body for international basketball competitions, and a FIBA-standard court ensures that the facility meets the highest global standards.

Over the past two weeks, the Department of Mass Communication within the School of Music and Media has embarked on a county-wide outreach initiative to promote its diverse program offerings. Currently, the department provides four programs: Post-graduate Diploma in Mass Communication, Bachelor of Mass Communication, Diploma in Mass Communication, and Certificate in Mass Communication.

Kabarak University, in collaboration with the University of Nairobi and the University of California, San Francisco, proudly launched the Enabling Girls in AI and Growing Expertise (ENGAGE) in Data Science Project. This groundbreaking initiative, supported by a grant from Takeda, aims to empower young women in Kenya with the skills and knowledge to excel in the rapidly evolving field of data science.

Kabarak University made a significant presence at the 20th Kenya Pharmaceutical Association’s Annual Scientific Conference, held from Thursday, July 25th to Saturday, July 27th. Aiming to showcase its diverse programs, the university established an exhibition stand that attracted many visitors. The stand emphasized the institution’s dedication to cultivating competent professionals and pharmacists through its undergraduate, postgraduate, and upgrading programs. The marketing team was available to offer comprehensive information on the various paths accessible to aspiring pharmacists.

Kabarak University has achieved a remarkable feat by winning the 2024 ENACTUS National Championship. Triumphing over stiff competition from Kenyatta University, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University, Maseno University, Moi University (both A and B campuses), University of Nairobi, and Laikipia University, the Kabarak ENACTUS team has secured Kenya's spot at the global ENACTUS competition in Astana, Kazakhstan, this October.
