Kabarak University, through its Directorate of Research, Innovation, and Outreach (RIO), continues to promote a culture of creativity and problem-solving among students. As part of its commitment to nurturing innovation, RIO organized an Internal Innovation Pitch Showcase on June 12, 2025, at the Kabarak University main campus. This initiative serves as a crucial step in preparing students for the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition (CICSIC) 2025, a prestigious global platform for young innovators.
The showcase brought together 20 student teams, faculty mentors, and industry experts, creating an environment where groundbreaking ideas could be refined and strengthened. The event was not merely a competition but an integral part of Kabarak University’s ongoing innovation engagement strategy, designed to enhance students’ capacity for international collaboration and competition.
Participating teams presented projects across diverse sectors, including Health, Clean Energy, Agriculture, Education, Smart Technologies, and Environmental Sustainability. These innovations aimed to address real-world challenges, offering solutions that could have a significant impact both locally and globally.
Faculty mentors and innovation experts played a pivotal role in guiding students throughout the showcase. Each team received one-on-one mentorship, ensuring their projects aligned with global sustainability challenges and investor expectations. The mentorship process emphasized scalability, ensuring innovations could expand beyond local implementation, practical impact, addressing real-world problems with tangible solutions, and interdisciplinary collaboration, encouraging cross-sector partnerships for enhanced innovation.
